I currently work exclusively in Squarespace and only offer services for that platform. Non-Squarespace ecommerce platforms like Square, Shopify, etc. can, however, be integrated with a Squarespace website.

My packages include exclusively design and development work. Additional fees may include purchased assets such as graphics, photography, and font licenses; ongoing cost of website i.e. domain, email, web hosting; or costs associated with printing or creation of physical assets.

Absolutely! All of my flat rate projects have the option to be paid through periodic payment plans after the initial deposit is paid. The most common payment plan is biweekly payments, but I always do my best to be flexible for each of my clients.

Website packages include up to two rounds of revision after the presentation of an initial concept based on our strategy conversations, a client questionnaire, industry research, a lot of experimentation, and more. My process is designed to get this as right as possible the very first time, and I’m proud to say that very few clients require additional rounds of revision.

The short answer? None. You know your business best and you are absolutely the best person to provide all the content and information I need to create an effective site.

The long answer? Website copy has additional requirements than typical copy like being SEO friendly, effective for that specific medium, and more. To that end, I always include some copywriting assistance for each of my website projects to ensure the project is as successful as possible. But please plan to submit all content (at minimum, you’ll be expected to provide a “brain dump” of anything and everything that might go on your website) ahead of the start date so that we can get started right away.

My job is to take your ideas, your story, your creativity, and transform it all into effective messaging, memorable visual communication, and more, all within a custom, fully responsive Squarespace website. That means, however, that I need to know your story, your ideas, your goals, etc. in order to do my job. As a client you will be expected to be a fully collaborative participant in this project, provide thoughtful and efficient feedback, provide design direction/inspiration as needed, provide as much content as possible, and more. A website is a big project to take on; that applies to both designer and client.

I certainly offer branding packages in addition to custom website packages. Custom branding packages start at $3,00 and typically take an additional 4-6 weeks to complete. Bundling discounts are available if you book a branding project and a website project at the same time to maximize consistency, professionalism, and overall impact.

Many designers focus on a specific style that they replicate with their client projects and over again. I don’t offer that kind of service. Why? Because I view branding as a collaborative process, meaning that my clients play a big role in every design project. My style is often colorful and often has a retro twist, but all of my branding projects end up looking completely unique because every client was completely unique.

SEO expertise is a service I do not offer because it requires a separate set of skills and knowledge. I offer basic SEO setup for each custom website to give you the best start possible. If you require more significant SEO assistance, I would encourage you to consider working with an SEO expert.

Nearly every website I create uses custom CSS and/or some Javascript to ensure that your site isn’t just another Squarespace template. Not only does custom code allow me to customize Squarespace’s existing functionalities to better suit your needs, adding a few unique touches to your website will ensure that you stand out in a crowd. All custom code additions are done thoughtfully and are rooted in strategy, not just trendy website tricks or flashy (but ultimately pointless) artistic flair.

My knowledge of custom code comes from years of experience (think lots and lots of trial and error) working in Squarespace and also as a member of the first Standout Squarespace class.
